“You Are What You Eat” explores eating as an act of self-confirmation, envisioning the body as a vessel to be filled. Through consumption, the artist attempts to dissolve inner anxiety, experiencing a cycle where the self is both constructed and devoured. Comprising two corresponding sculptures, the work embodies this contradiction—the act of eating becomes both nourishment and erasure.
In the endless repetition between fullness and emptiness, we affirm our existence through consumption, becoming whole only in the process of constant destruction and replenishment.
